New to St. James

Worship is the heart of what we do. God calls us to come together weekly in community to praise God and to experience God’s love.

There are many ways to begin your connection with us. Some people start by joining us for worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 in the newly renovated sanctuary.

Older children and teens may connect through our weekly youth group.
Adults may connect through our weekly LIFE Groups (Living In Faith Everyday),
Men’s Study Group

Our Beliefs

“God is Holy Mystery, beyond complete knowledge, above perfect description…. Nothing exists that does not find its source in God.” (A Song of Faith)

Faith and the Bible - The Bible is the shared standard for our faith, but members are not required to adhere to any particular creed or formulation of doctrine.

Baptism and Communion - The United Church celebrates two sacraments—baptism and communion—by which we encounter the presence and goodness of God.

Marriage - Each person is a unique, loved creation of God; we welcome all people to the full life of Christian community, including marriage.

Relationship and Inclusion - Respectful of the religious practice of all people of goodwill, we are a welcoming church that is challenged to ongoing renewal.

Social Justice - Following the example of Jesus, we believe that we strengthen one another to work, through God's grace, for a better world.

Giving, Generosity, and Gratitude - God’s endless generosity to us encourages our own response to contribute in many ways to God’s mission in God’s world.
